Description

In Shackleton Base: A Journey to the Moon, you're part of a team of space agencies working together to build a permanent base in the Shackleton crater at the Moon's South Pole. But that's not all - three major corporations are also involved, each with their own agenda and motivations. As you build structures on the base, you'll also be funding projects from these corporations, which will give you special abilities and scoring opportunities. With a playtime of 60 to 120 minutes, this game is perfect for 1 to 4 players who are looking for a challenging and immersive experience. The game is divided into three rounds, each with its own phases, including a shuttle phase where you'll draft tiles to determine your resources and turn order, an action phase where you'll deploy your astronauts to collect resources and build structures, and a maintenance phase where you'll assign astronauts to work on structures and collect income. With variable set-up, worker placement, and different worker types, the game mechanics are a bit complicated, but that's what makes it so engaging. As you navigate the complexities of space exploration and corporate interests, you'll need to strategically manage your resources and projects to come out on top. Will you emerge as the winner, with the most points at the end of the game? There's only one way to find out - join the journey to the moon and start building your base today.
