Description

In Magnate: The First City, you're a property developer aiming to build an empire during a citywide property boom. By acquiring valuable land and constructing the right buildings in the right locations, you'll attract high-value tenants and start earning big. However, as the city grows, your competitors will also have new opportunities, so you'll need to time your actions carefully to maximize profits and avoid substantial losses. As you grow your property empire, you'll need to consider the different types of tenants and their preferences for nearby neighborhoods. With four types of tenants, including residential, offices, retail, and industry, you'll need to use clever tactical and strategic building to increase your odds of attracting them and improving your return on investment. The game ends with a market crash, which is inevitable but can be influenced by the players' actions, making it a thrilling experience for 1 to 5 players.
