Description

Bauhaus is a game that's all about messing with your friends' plans while trying to fence off and claim territory for yourself. The game is inspired by the famous Staatliche Bauhaus school of design, and its aesthetics are reflected in the gameplay. With 2 to 4 players, you'll be constantly trying to outmaneuver each other, placing barriers on the board to enclose territory with your pieces inside. The rules are easy to learn, making it a great game for anyone looking to dive into the world of abstract strategy. As you take turns choosing from four available action cards, you'll be trying to stay one step ahead of your opponents. The action cards allow you to place barriers on the board, and the key to winning is to enclose the most territory with your pieces inside. The game keeps going until the deck of action cards runs out, at which point the game ends and the player with the most points, earned by enclosing the most area, is declared the winner. With a playtime of just 30 minutes, Bauhaus is a quick and engaging game that's perfect for a casual game night or a lunch break. Designed by Jordi Gené and Gregorio Morales, and first published in 2013, Bauhaus has become a favorite among fans of abstract strategy games. The game's mechanics, based on enclosure, make for a fun and challenging experience that requires strategic thinking and a bit of luck. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or just looking for a new game to try, Bauhaus is a great choice. Its unique blend of strategy and social interaction makes it a game that you'll want to play again and again, and its short playtime means you can easily fit in a few games in one sitting.
