Description
Pocket Landship is a thrilling board game where you command a Landship, the original British term for tanks, to take down enemy forces in a steampunk-themed world. This easy-to-learn game is perfect for solo players or those who want to team up with a friend, offering a playtime of 15 to 45 minutes. In Pocket Landship, you'll choose a Landship to control, along with weapons or support units, to create a powerful force that can take on enemy infantry, artillery, and mechs. You can opt for a single high-powered Landship or a more diverse defending force, including a squad of shock troops. The gameplay is straightforward yet engaging, with each turn involving the roll of three 6-sided dice. You'll assign each die to your cards to attack the enemies, which are arranged in two rows of three cards. The enemy will then take their turn, with the dice rolls determining their actions. Each card has its own damage track, and when a card is destroyed, it's removed from the game. Your goal is to destroy all nine enemy cards to win, while avoiding being destroyed yourself. The game mechanics, designed by Scott Allen Czysz and Robert Butler, offer a cooperative experience with a mix of dice rolling and strategic card play. The Pocket Landship game box includes everything you need to get started, with a bigger box that can hold sleeved cards. The game itself is an expanded version of the original, with additional enemy and friendly options, as well as multiplayer capabilities. The black box version also comes with the cards and rules from the standard version, including the weather card and die, plus the cards from the 'No Man's Land' expansion. With its simple rules and exciting gameplay, Pocket Landship is a great option for fans of science fiction, wargames, and card games, offering a fun and challenging experience that's perfect for a quick play session or a longer, more immersive gaming experience.
