Description

Field of Glory is a set of historical miniatures rules that lets you take command of ancient and medieval armies, reliving epic battles from history. You'll lead an army of around 10-15 battle groups, making strategic decisions from the start, just like a real commander. Your goal is to outmaneuver your opponent, concentrating your forces at key points to break the enemy's morale and emerge victorious. With a playtime of 180 minutes, you'll have plenty of time to immerse yourself in the action, and while the rules may take some time to learn, the reward is well worth the effort. The game is designed to give you a realistic and historical feel, with accurately researched armies and a points system that lets you scale up or down to create "what if" encounters. This means you can pit small, agile forces against massive armies, exploring the possibilities of history in a way that's both fun and faithful to the past. Whether you're a fan of Alexander the Great or Ghengis Khan, you can take on the role of your favorite historical leader and see how you would have fared in battle. The game's mechanics, including dice rolling, line of sight, and measurement movement, all work together to create a unique and engaging experience that's sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. With support for 2 to 4 players, Field of Glory is a great game to share with friends, and its 2008 release has established it as a classic in the world of miniatures wargaming. The designers, Simon Hall, Richard Bodley Scott, and Terry Shaw, have created a game that's both challenging and rewarding, with a strong focus on historical accuracy and strategic decision-making. So gather your friends, assemble your armies, and get ready to clash in epic battles that will test your skills and leave you eager for more. As the designers say, happy gaming, and may your dice roll high.
