Patchistory is a strategy board game where you acquire cards representing historical heroes and wonders through auctions and expand your territory by placing them in a grid. The game is divided into three eras, with the grid size increasing each time, and your goal is to build a well-structured territory to activate the card functions. You can earn victory points through various actions such as diplomatic moves, domestic politics, war, and production. As you play, you can create combos with the features on the historical cards and score in different ways, making each game exciting and unique. With its complex rules and multiple mechanics, Patchistory offers a challenging and engaging experience for 2 to 4 players. The game takes around 60 to 120 minutes to play, and while it may take some time to learn, it promises a new and thrilling experience every time it's played.
