Description
San Juan is a card game where players build up their own city, using a deck of 110 cards to construct production buildings and special "violet" buildings that grant extra powers or victory points. With easy-to-learn rules, 2 to 4 players can dive into a game that lasts around 45 to 60 minutes, making it a great fit for a weeknight game night. Each player selects a role, triggering events that affect everyone, and gets a privilege, such as producing more goods or building more cheaply. As players take turns, they'll need to manage their hand of cards carefully, using them to build or as money to construct something else. The goal is to be the first player to put up twelve buildings, earning victory points along the way. With its unique blend of action drafting, hand management, and set collection, San Juan offers a fun and challenging experience that's similar to Puerto Rico, but with its own twist.
