Description
In The Search for Lost Species, you're part of an expedition to find plants and animals that have been missing for decades, and could be on the brink of extinction. As a scientist, you'll focus on those in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, working to locate these lost species and put them back on the map. This deduction game is all about using a combination of movement and deduction to narrow down the possible habitats of the lost species, with the help of special expedition actions and asymmetric cards that add variability to the game. With a playtime of 60 to 75 minutes, 1 to 4 players can join the adventure, using a double-sided board with two different island maps to explore and searching for 6 different lost species. The game is designed by Matthew O'Malley and Ben Rosset, and its normal complexity makes it easy for board game fans to learn and dive into the fun, with the option to report sightings through a free app for an extra layer of excitement.
