Description

In Pingyao: First Chinese Banks, you'll take on the role of a famous Jin merchant in the Qing Dynasty, working to build your wealth over eight rounds. The goal is to become the wealthiest player by the end of the game, and you'll do this by expanding your banking network across China, offering remittance services to businessmen, and recruiting reliable managers to oversee your agencies. With the right managers, you'll gain powerful abilities to help you earn profits. As you play, you'll have the opportunity to deposit your earnings to gain interest, offer loans in exchange for government favors and fame, and more. The game is designed for 1 to 4 players and takes around 60 to 90 minutes to play, with rules of normal complexity that should be easy to learn for anyone familiar with board games.
