This print & play game is a standalone short story that lets you experience the events that led up to the first book, and it's a great introduction to the game's mechanics. With easy-to-learn rules, you'll be navigating the world of Cantaloop in no time, talking to characters, combining items, and uncovering the story. As you play through the prequel, you'll have the option to choose from two different versions: the clear text version or the hidden text version. If you want the full Cantaloop experience, go for the hidden text version, where you'll need to use a red foil to reveal hidden text - just be warned, your printer might need some new color cartridges afterwards. Alternatively, you can opt for the clear text version, where all the text is readable from the start, but be careful not to accidentally spoil the story for yourself.
