Description

Get ready to dive into the world of Cthulhu Wars with the Shaggai Map Expansion, designed by Sandy Petersen and Lincoln Petersen. This expansion takes you to the planet of Shaggai, a hellworld that's on the brink of destruction. The map is divided into hex-shaped areas, representing the insectile nature of the world's native inhabitants, and features oceans, land, and the ominous Worms of Ghroth that spread across the surface, leaving oblivion in their wake. As you play with 2 to 5 friends, you'll navigate the destruction of Shaggai, earning power and benefits from the eradicated areas. With simple rules and a playtime of 90 to 120 minutes, this expansion adds a new layer of excitement to the base game. You'll need to strategically sacrifice units to "jump over" eradicated areas and access the map more easily. The game can end unexpectedly if the map deteriorates too far, making every move count in this thrilling fight for victory.
