Description
Gloria Mundi is a board game where you take on the role of a Roman statesman trying to survive and thrive during the fall of Rome. With 2 to 6 players, you'll navigate the challenges of cultural decline and political chaos, all while trying to build your career and flee the doomed Eternal City. The game is set on a spiral board, where you'll start in Rome and try to move further out as the Visigoth invader closes in. As you play, you'll manage your hand of cards to produce resources and gain special effects, all while trying to bribe the Visigoth to slow his advance. The game ends when the Visigoth reaches Rome or a player reaches the outskirts of the empire, and the player who has fled the furthest wins. With a playtime of 60 minutes and normal complexity, Gloria Mundi is a fun and challenging game for fans of city building and ancient history.
