Each relic has a unique power tied to one of the six Old Ones, adding a fresh layer of strategy to the game. As players collect and use these relics, they'll also earn Occult points, which can bring bonus victory points at the end of the game. But beware, the power of the Old Ones comes with a price. Using the most powerful relics can attract unwanted attention, causing calamities that affect not just your opponents, but your own museum as well. For example, using a relic dedicated to Dagon can flood your opponents' galleries, but it will also lead to your own gallery space disappearing into the depths. This double-edged sword approach adds a new level of risk and reward to the game, making it even more engaging and unpredictable.
