Description
In Donning the Purple, you'll take on the role of a powerful family in ancient Rome, vying for control of the empire. With the previous emperor killed, a power vacuum has been left and it's up to you to fill it. However, you're not the only one with ambitions, as other families will stop at nothing to take the throne for themselves. You'll need to navigate the complex web of alliances and rivalries, all while working together to prevent the fall of the Roman Empire. As you play, you'll use a combination of worker placement, dice rolling, and hand management to gain the upper hand. With variable player powers and a semi-cooperative gameplay, no two games will be the same. Will you emerge victorious and claim the throne, or will your opponents outmaneuver you and take the empire for themselves? With 70 to 90 minutes of playtime, you'll be fully immersed in the intrigue and politics of ancient Rome.
