In Optimates et Populares, you're transported back to ancient Rome, where a bitter struggle for power and ideology is unfolding. As either the Optimates, representing the traditional rights of the wealthy, or the Populares, fighting for the rights of the poor, you'll navigate the complex world of Roman politics. With easy-to-learn rules, you'll engage in a delicate balancing act, using every tool at your disposal to win elections, pass laws, and outmaneuver your opponent. Each action you take will cost you Political Will, and the more you accomplish, the more anger it incites in the opposition, creating a dynamic tension that keeps the game exciting.
