Description

Offshore is a competitive strategy game where 3 to 5 players build oil platforms in the North Sea, navigating the complexities of the oil industry. With easy-to-learn rules, players take turns performing actions like buying technology tiles, exporting oil, or opening new oil fields. The latter requires cooperation between players, who must agree on technology usage and cost splitting, adding a thrilling layer of negotiation to the game. As players drill for oil, they engage in a press-your-luck mini game, deciding how deep to drill while avoiding blowouts. The combination of technology tiles influences the drilling, making each attempt unique. With shared successes and failures, temporary alliances form, creating an exciting dynamic. In just 60 minutes, players experience the highs and lows of the oil industry, making Offshore a captivating and interactive game.
