Description

In New Salem, you'll join 2 to 7 other players in a thrilling game of deception and strategy, set in 17th-century Salem during the infamous witch trials. As a founder of New Salem, you'll work to build a thriving town, but beware - some players may be witches in disguise, seeking to spread pestilence and chaos. With easy-to-learn rules, you'll quickly dive into the world of drafting, set collection, and teamwork, all while trying to figure out who's on your side and who's working against you. As the game unfolds over 30 to 45 minutes, you'll need to balance building the right structures with uncovering the witches in your midst. If the righteous players can keep the pestilence at bay, the player with the most victory points will emerge victorious. But if the witches succeed in spreading darkness, the most evil among them will claim the win. With its unique blend of bluffing, deduction, and city building, New Salem is a wild ride that's sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.
