Description
Jiangshi: Blood in the Banquet Hall is a thrilling game where 2 to 5 players take on the roles of a Chinese-American family navigating the challenges of running a restaurant in 1920s America. Despite the simplicity of the game rules, which can be explained quickly, this game packs a punch with its unique blend of supernatural threats and real-world struggles. As the family faces off against hopping vampires, known as Jiangshi, by night and oppression by day, players must balance their responsibilities to the family business with protecting themselves and their community. In this fast-paced game, which can be played in as little as 1 to 3 minutes, players work together to complete tasks, overcome challenges, and care for each other's emotional health. With a simple yet effective mechanic, players use a pool of dice to overcome obstacles, and as the game progresses, the stress of the hauntings takes its toll, reducing the number of dice available. Designed by Banana Chan and Sen-Foong Lim, Jiangshi: Blood in the Banquet Hall is a collaborative game that requires players to think on their feet and work together to succeed, making it a fun and exciting experience for all involved.
