Card Game
Description
Inflation is a fast-paced card game designed by Taiki Shinzawa and Daniel Newman, where 3 to 4 players compete to manage their currency in a simulated economy. With easy-to-learn rules, this 20-minute game is perfect for a quick gaming session. Players take turns playing cards, following the rank of the card played by the start player if possible, and the twist is that cards are not removed after each trick. Instead, the next card played is set on top of the previously played cards, creating a unique and challenging gameplay experience. As players navigate the game, they must balance their bids with their ability to win tricks, all while trying not to devalue their currency too much. The player who takes the most tricks actually loses, while points are earned for winning tricks and matching the number of tricks bid at the start of a hand. With its predictive bid and trick-taking mechanics, Inflation offers a fun and engaging experience that's all about strategy and luck. Published in 2019, this base game is a great addition to any card game collection, and its short playtime makes it easy to fit in a game or two with friends.
