Description

In Provisions 1849, you're thrown into the wild west of the California Gold Rush, where you and up to four other players are competing to own the most successful general store in a booming town. The game is easy to learn, but don't let that fool you - with its mix of investment, random production, and take-that mechanics, it's a thrilling ride from start to finish. As the gold rush is in full swing, you'll need to navigate the challenges of supplying goods to the flood of prospectors, all while dealing with the unpredictability of local suppliers and the shifty tactics of a gang of vigilantes. Over the course of 30 to 40 minutes, you'll play through six rounds, each representing a month from July to December 1849. As the game unfolds, you'll need to make strategic decisions about when to buy, sell, and trade goods, all while keeping an eye on the prospectors' needs and the vigilantes' antics. With the potential for end-game bonuses and the ability to build your own engine through contract goods, the game is full of opportunities to outmaneuver your opponents and come out on top. By the time the gold runs out and the prospectors move on, you'll be eager to see who's collected the most provision points and emerged victorious.
