Description

The Seven Years War: Frederick's Gamble is a wargame that drops you into the midst of one of history's first global conflicts, where you'll navigate the intricate web of alliances and rivalries that defined 18th century Europe. The game's easy-to-learn rules make it accessible to new players, while its engaging mechanics, including campaign and battle card-driven gameplay, dice rolling, and hand management, will keep experienced gamers on their toes. With two to four players taking on the roles of European powers, you'll need to manage your resources carefully and make strategic decisions to outmaneuver your opponents. As you play, you'll be transported to a time of imperial ambitions and colonial rivalries, with the fate of Europe and beyond hanging in the balance. The game's unique mechanics, such as point-to-point movement and a naval control track, allow you to focus on the action ashore while still accounting for the war at sea. With mini-maps for North America and the Indian sub-continent, you'll need to think globally to win, making strategic decisions that take into account the far-reaching consequences of your actions. With a playtime of 360 minutes, you'll have plenty of time to become fully immersed in the game's intricate world and emerge victorious, or suffer defeat at the hands of your opponents.
