The Queen's New Capital is a thrilling deck-building city-development game that drops you into a world of high-stakes competition, where you're vying to have your region chosen as the Queen's new capital. As a provincial governor, you'll need to use all your resources and cunning to outmaneuver your opponents, all while navigating the challenges of building a thriving city. With a playtime of 60 to 150 minutes, you'll have plenty of time to get fully immersed in the game, and with rules of normal complexity, you can dive right in, even if you're new to board games. As you play, you'll draw six cards and play four each round, using these action cards to construct structures, recruit leaders with powerful abilities, acquire more potent action cards, and respond to the kingdom's crises. But it's not just about building up your city - you'll also need to manage the delicate balance between Might, Morale, Influence, and Wealth, as these Province Status tracks hold the key to victory. The first player to obtain eight Recognition Seals, awarded for reaching five points in each track, will be crowned the winner. Along the way, you'll face tough decisions about where to focus your resources, as prioritizing growth and development can leave you vulnerable to threats, while playing it safe can stifle your progress.
