Description

Get ready to join the buzz with Alveola: The City of Bees, a thrilling new board game from designer Thomas Favrelière, released in 2023. In this game, 2 to 4 players take on the role of bee colonies, competing to build the most thriving hive and gather the most honey. With easy-to-learn rules, you'll be diving into the action in no time, strategically choosing tiles to expand or raise your hive, placing workers to maximize honey production, and leveraging powerful flower abilities to outmaneuver your opponents. As you play, you'll need to stay on top of your game, literally, by controlling the hive and fending off pesky hornets on the prowl for food. With a playtime of just 15 to 35 minutes, Alveola is the perfect game for a quick yet engaging gaming session. The combination of King of the Hill, Layering, Card Drafting, and Tile Placement mechanics creates a rich and dynamic gameplay experience that will keep you coming back for more. So gather your friends, get ready to swarm, and see who will reign supreme in Alveola: The City of Bees.
