Description
In Amoeba Wars, players take on the role of remnants of a fallen Galactic civilization, returning to their Home Sector to reclaim it from Giant Space Amoebas. Starting from the corners of a hexagon grid game-board, players navigate their fleets of ships to capture solar systems and push back the Amoeba infestations. Along the way, they must also contend with renegade doomsday machines, relics of the empire, adding an extra layer of challenge to the game. As players compete to control the central solar systems, the ultimate goal is to retake Saestor, the old homeworld, located at the center of the board. With easy-to-learn rules and a playtime of 150 minutes, Amoeba Wars is a game of strategy and skill that supports 2 to 6 players. Published in 1981, this classic science fiction wargame has stood the test of time, offering a unique and engaging experience for fans of the genre.
