Description

At the Helm: Port Amalga is a thrilling solo expansion that adds a fresh layer of excitement to the original At the Helm game. Designed by Ted Heidersdorf and released in 2022, this expansion is perfect for fans of nautical-themed games and card games alike. With a playtime of just 15 minutes, you can dive into the world of Port Amalga and experience the thrill of managing your own shipyard, all on your own. The game mechanics are straightforward, making it easy for anyone familiar with board games to pick up and learn. As you play, you'll have the opportunity to purchase new cards from the Shipyard, either by paying 2 gold or by discarding a card from your hand for a discounted price of 1 gold. The new Location card type adds an extra dimension to the game, providing bonuses or threats that can be used to your advantage. The two Market cards included in the expansion also offer new opportunities to sell off your gear and prep for your next voyage. Whether you're looking to relax in the home port or set sail for new adventures, At the Helm: Port Amalga has something to offer, making it a great addition to the At the Helm series.
