Description
Autobahn: Kickstarter Edition is a complex and engaging economic strategy game that challenges you to build and manage the German motorway system over three periods of time, from the end of World War II to the present day. As a director within the BundesAutobahn Organisation, you'll be responsible for developing the highway network, facilitating the transport of goods to neighboring countries, and constructing petrol stations to benefit from the new traffic. With 1 to 4 players, you'll need to plan carefully and time your actions perfectly to make the most of your hand, as the cards you hold allow you to take actions on one of the 7 main Autobahns. The game takes around 90 to 150 minutes to play, and with its intricate rules, it may take some time to learn, but the payoff is well worth it. The Kickstarter Edition includes three mini-expansions, including the Road Traffic Mini Expansion, Service Station Upgrades Mini Expansion, and Wine Import Mini Expansion, which add new layers of complexity and strategy to the game. As you contribute to the development of the network, you'll gain seats at the administration boards of each highway, increase your budget, and eventually advance to more prestigious seats within the Bundesautobahn building, earning victory points at the end of the game. With its unique blend of hand management, network and route building, and pick-up and deliver mechanics, Autobahn: Kickstarter Edition is a game that will keep you engaged and challenged for hours on end.
