Description

In the newly released 2024 game Babylon, designed by Olivier Grégoire, you get to take on the role of an architect in ancient Babylon, tasked with building the most impressive gardens for the king's young wife, Amytis of Media. With 2 to 4 players competing to create the most stunning design, the game is easy to learn but offers a depth of strategy that will appeal to both families and heavy gamers. The game mechanics of modular board, card drafting, three dimensional movement, and tile placement all come together to create a unique and engaging experience. As you dig into the quarry for the best materials, you'll use them to build your gardens, floor by floor, and decorate them with a variety of elements. The game is won by the player who unveils the most impressive design before the king, with victory points awarded based on the location of each decorative element. With a playtime of just 40 to 60 minutes, Babylon is a great way to spend an evening with friends or family, exploring the ancient Arabian city and competing to become the greatest architect in the kingdom. Whether you're a fan of city building or just looking for a fun and challenging game, Babylon is definitely worth checking out.
