Description
Blood Rush is a thrilling solo board game that drops you into the midst of a monster raid on a small town. Your goal is simple: capture seven victims before the Inquisition arrives to shut down the party. With a playtime of just five minutes, this game is perfect for a quick horror fix. Designed by Javier Martin and first published in 2014, Blood Rush has been entertaining solo players with its unique blend of area majority, dice rolling, and hand management mechanics. As you play, you'll set up four Villager cards face-down, each guarding a different Town Location. An Event die is rolled to determine how the round will play out, adding an element of unpredictability to the game. You'll then reveal the first Villager and assign your Monster cards to either the Town Locations or the Lair, a special location that lets you manipulate luck. It's all about balance - you need to position your Monsters carefully to capture those victims while avoiding the nasty effects of the defending villagers. With clever use of your Monsters' abilities, you can outsmart the villagers and achieve your goal. Despite its simple rules, Blood Rush is a game that requires strategy and luck. As a solo game, you're free to play at your own pace, experimenting with different tactics to see what works best. The game's fantasy horror theme adds to the excitement, immersing you in a dark world of monsters and mayhem. With its quick playtime and easy-to-learn rules, Blood Rush is the perfect game to squeeze in whenever you have a spare few minutes - and its addictive gameplay will keep you coming back for more.
