Description

In the ancient city of Caral, players take on the role of master builders, competing to create the most impressive structures in a game that's easy to learn but full of depth. With 2 to 4 players, you'll navigate a rhythmic cycle of years, influencing the duration of each cycle and putting pressure on your opponents. As you build, you'll experience the city in its heyday, over 4500 years in the past, and discover a fresh gaming experience that's full of surprises. The game mechanics, designed by Klaus-Jürgen Wrede, are well-interlocked, allowing for a simple start that develops into a complex and challenging game. As you play, you'll have the opportunity to use Alpacas and resource cards to gain flexibility and advantages over your fellow players. The annual ceremony adds an extra layer of strategy, as you'll need to decide which valuable cards to sacrifice in order to gain a competitive edge. With a playtime of 60 to 120 minutes, Caral is a game that's perfect for families and experienced gamers alike. The game's complexity can be increased with different modules, allowing you to tailor the game to your desired level of challenge.
