Description

In the fantasy world of Arklyrell, players are vying for control of the coveted Citadels, and only the most strategic will reign supreme. City States of Arklyrell is a game of conquest and tactics, where 2 to 4 players compete to dominate the landscape. With a playtime of 120 minutes, you'll have plenty of time to immerse yourself in the world of Arklyrell, navigating the hexagon grid and utilizing movement points to outmaneuver your opponents. The game's normal complexity makes it accessible to board game enthusiasts, and the lack of spell casting adds a unique twist to the traditional fantasy genre. As you roll the dice and move your units, you'll need to balance risk and reward, using the combat results table to determine the outcomes of your battles. The goal is simple: control the most Citadel hexes after 25 turns, or capture a set number of them to win immediately. With four players, you'll need to secure four Citadels, while two players will need to claim five. The game's designer, Mike Joslyn, has crafted a game that's both challenging and engaging, making City States of Arklyrell a must-play for fans of fantasy and wargames. First published in 1983, this classic game has stood the test of time, offering a thrilling experience that will keep you coming back for more.
