Description

Descent: Journeys in the Dark (Second Edition) – Forgotten Souls is a thrilling expansion that offers a fresh take on the classic game. For 1 to 4 players, this cooperative adventure drops the traditional overlord role, instead pitting heroes against the forces of evil in a fully collaborative experience. As you delve into the expanding dungeon, you'll encounter fierce monsters and challenges, all controlled by decks of cards. With each test of courage and skill, you'll earn loot and experience, ultimately leading to a heart-pounding battle in the dragon's lair. In this immersive game, the heroes must work together to prevent the doom token and fate token from meeting on the overlord track, which would signal their defeat. As you progress, your successes and failures will impact the fate token, giving you a sense of urgency and agency in the game world. With its normal complexity rules, Forgotten Souls is easy to learn for fans of board games, and its 150-minute playtime ensures a deeply engaging experience. Originally released in 2014, this expansion offers a unique twist on the Descent series, and its modular board and variable player powers ensure that each playthrough is a new and exciting journey. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or just starting out, Forgotten Souls is an unforgettable quest that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
