Description
In Descent: Journeys in the Dark, one player takes on the role of the treacherous overlord, while up to four others play as courageous heroes. The heroes embark on quests, venturing into caves, ruins, dungeons, and forests to battle monsters and stop the overlord's evil plot. With a modular board and countless hero combinations, the game transports players to a fantasy realm where teamwork is key to defeating ancient evil. Combat is a necessity, and the game uses a unique dice-based system. Players build their dice pools according to their character's abilities and trigger special effects with surges. The game features simpler rules, faster setup, and an experience system for hero growth, making it an engaging experience for 1 to 5 players. With a playtime of 120 minutes, Descent: Journeys in the Dark offers an immersive adventure for those who dare to take on the darkness.
