Description

Get ready for a thrilling adventure with Descent: Journeys in the Dark (Second Edition) – Road to Legend, an expansion that breathes new life into the classic game. Designed for 1 to 4 players, this cooperative game drops the traditional overlord player, instead pitting heroes against the challenges presented by a companion app. As you embark on quests, you'll venture into dark and perilous locales, battling monsters and gaining riches along the way. The gameplay is familiar, yet fresh, with the app determining the setup for each quest, including rules, tiles, tokens, and monsters, and revealing more of the map as you explore. As you play through the campaign, which consists of a series of story quests, you'll experience a new level of teamwork and strategy. With the app guiding the monster activations and actions, you'll need to work together with your fellow heroes to overcome the challenges ahead. The game builds on the core rules of Descent: Journeys in the Dark (Second Edition), but with some exciting twists, making it a must-play for fans of the series. With its normal complexity level, players familiar with board games will have no issue diving in, and the variable player powers and modular board ensure that each playthrough is unique. Published in 2016, Road to Legend is a fantastic addition to the Descent series, offering a new way to experience the world of adventure, exploration, and fantasy.
