Friends and Communities with Dominant Species
Description
In Dominant Species, you'll take on the role of one of six major animal classes, from mammals to insects, as they struggle to survive and thrive in a world on the brink of an ice age. The game is set 90,000 years ago, and each player starts in a state of natural balance with the others, but it's not long before the competition heats up. Through clever action pawn placement, you'll aim to become dominant on as many terrain tiles as possible, claiming powerful card effects and earning victory points for your species. As the game unfolds, the ice age encroaches, and the landscape changes with the addition of tundra tiles. You'll need to adapt and evolve your species to survive, using actions like speciation, migration, and glaciation to outmaneuver your opponents. With a playtime of 120 to 240 minutes, Dominant Species is a challenging and immersive game that requires strategy and cunning to emerge victorious. Will your species be crowned the Dominant Species, or will you succumb to the harsh conditions of the ice age?
