Description

In the card game Gangs of Kyoto, you'll dive into the world of Kyoto, where strategy and a little luck come together in a fun and fast-paced experience. With simple rules that can be explained quickly, this game is perfect for 2 to 5 players looking for a quick gaming session that lasts around 15 to 30 minutes. Designed by Rüdiger Dorn and released in 2024, Gangs of Kyoto is all about collecting the right cards to be the first to bank 13 bells before anyone else. The cards in the game represent bells, clever little powers, or nothing at all, each with a numerical value from 0 to 5. As players take turns dealing cards one by one to each other, including themselves, they'll need to pay close attention to the values they're collecting. Each card's value is added to the previous one received in another round, and as soon as a player reaches or exceeds 13, the round ends, and they "jump," allowing the other players to "bank" all their bells cards. This set collection mechanic makes for an engaging gameplay experience that's easy to learn but challenging to master. The goal is simple, but the path to getting there is full of twists and turns. With its quick rounds and simple rules, Gangs of Kyoto is a great game for families or casual gamers looking for a fun and lighthearted experience. The game's short playtime and easy-to-learn rules make it perfect for a quick game night or a fun break from more complex games. So gather your friends and family, and get ready to experience the exciting world of Gangs of Kyoto, where strategy and luck come together in a thrilling card game.
