Description

Guerra en el Pacífico is a board game that drops you into the midst of a historic conflict between Peru, Bolivia, and Chile that took place from 1879 to 1883. Designed by Andrés Paredes and published in 2013, this game is perfect for 2 to 4 players who are looking for a challenging and immersive experience that will keep them engaged for around 120 minutes. With its normal complexity level, players familiar with board games will have no issue diving into the world of Guerra en el Pacífico, where they can choose to play as either the alliance of Peru and Bolivia or Chile. The goal of the game is simple: achieve 10 victory points or take one of the enemy's capital cities, but the path to getting there is where the real fun begins. Players will need to employ a combination of war strategy, moving troops and historic ships around the board, as well as political-diplomatic strategy to gain advantages in combat and other areas. The game also features a heroic dimension, where players can choose from different historical characters, such as Grau, Prat, and Avaroa, who will modify the game mechanics and add an extra layer of depth to the game. With its unique blend of strategy, history, and social interaction, Guerra en el Pacífico is a game that will challenge and entertain players, while also providing a fresh perspective on a pivotal moment in history.
