Get ready to dive into the intense world of World War II with Heroes of Normandie: War Stories #02 – Colombelles Castle, the latest expansion from game designers Yann and Clem. Released in 2023, this game is designed for 1 to 2 players and can be played in a compact 30 to 60 minutes. The rules are simple and easy to learn, making it accessible to new players, but don't let that fool you - the gameplay is engaging and challenging. With its unique blend of dice rolling, grid movement, and variable player powers, you'll need to use your strategic skills to outmaneuver your opponent. The game is set in the aftermath of heavy bombardment, where the castle of Colombelles has miraculously escaped destruction. As the Germans are entrenched inside, the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division, supported by tanks, must be sent to dislodge them. The city of Colombelles was almost completely destroyed, with a staggering 80% of it left in ruins. This expansion adds a new layer of complexity to the base game, Heroes of Normandie: Big Red One Edition, and can also be used with other expansions such as Battle for Caen: Operation Epsom, Charnwood & Goodwood, and Battle for Caen: Operation Windsor & Jupiter. The game's focus on World War II and its historical setting will transport you back in time, making you feel like you're part of the action. As you play through the scenario, you'll experience the intensity of the battle for Colombelles Castle. With the simple yet engaging gameplay, you'll be on the edge of your seat as you navigate the ruins of the city and try to outmaneuver your opponent. Whether you're a seasoned wargamer or just looking for a fun and challenging game, Heroes of Normandie: War Stories #02 – Colombelles Castle is a great addition to your collection.
