Description

Get ready to embark on a chilly adventure with ILAN: Discovering Antarctic Life, a fast-paced card game that drops you into the frozen tundra of Antarctica. As an investigator on a mission to study the fascinating life forms of this unforgiving landscape, you'll draw cards from the deck, play biodiversity cards, and chain together actions to outmaneuver your rivals. The goal is to form trophic chains, which are like intricate food webs that showcase the interconnectedness of Antarctic species - and the longer the chain, the more Victory Points you'll score. But don't get too comfortable, because Human and Natural Factor cards can suddenly change the course of the game. These cards might alter the ecosystem conditions, affecting the species in the game or even the players themselves, adding a layer of unpredictability to your research expedition. You'll need to think on your feet and adapt to the shifting circumstances. The Antarctic Circumpolar Current, a line of cards that represents the ocean's bounty, is where the action happens - predators can feed, species can migrate, and players can interact with each other and the wildlife in a variety of ways. With 2 to 5 players and a playtime of just 20 to 40 minutes, ILAN is the perfect game for a quick and thrilling experience. Since its release in 2022, ILAN has been delighting players with its easy-to-learn rules and exciting gameplay. Designed by Chilo Varela, Dany Varela, and Chilo Varela, this game is not only fun but also educational, offering a unique glimpse into the fascinating world of Antarctic biodiversity. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or just looking for a new adventure, ILAN: Discovering Antarctic Life is an immersive and entertaining experience that's sure to leave you chilled - in the best possible way. With its real-time action, drawing, hand management, and strategic set collection, ILAN is a game that will keep you on the edge of your seat, eager to explore the icy landscape and uncover its secrets.
