Description

In the medieval world of Inheritance, the most powerful family in the Kingdom is on the hunt for a worthy partner for their successor, and it's up to you to win their favor. This 2023 game, designed by Paul Capovilla, is a quick and clever card game for 2 to 4 players that can be learned in no time, with simple rules that get you started in just a few minutes. With a playtime of 15 to 30 minutes, it's the perfect game for a fun and lighthearted game night with friends. As you navigate the intricate world of medieval courtship, you'll need to use your influence to manipulate the desires of the fickle successor and their family. Each turn, you'll play one card from your hand that can either influence the family or change the terms of the wedding proposal. With multi-use cards, you'll need to think carefully about how to use your cards to get ahead. Will you use a Declaration of true love to win the successor's heart, or perhaps a proclamation of peace to show your diplomatic side? Maybe a generous dowry will seal the deal, or a declaration of War will show your strength. The choice is yours, and the right strategy will lead to your success. The goal of the game is to be the favored Admirer when your turn begins, and with the ever-changing desires of the successor and their family, you'll need to stay on your toes to come out on top. With hand management and strategic card play, Inheritance is a game that will keep you engaged and entertained from start to finish. So gather your friends, get ready to navigate the complex world of medieval courtship, and see who will come out on top in the battle for the grand inheritance.
