Description
K2 Lhotse is an exciting expansion to the popular board game K2, where you'll lead a team of two climbers to the summit of the southern peak, also known as Lhotse. In the Tibetan language, Lhotse means "the southern peak", and as you'll soon find out, it's a challenging and unforgiving climb. The expansion introduces an alternative, two-sided board and new weather tiles, which will keep you on your toes as you navigate the steep and treacherous terrain. The game is designed for 1 to 5 players and can be played in 30 to 60 minutes, making it an ideal activity for a fun and thrilling game night. With easy-to-learn rules, you'll quickly get started on your adventure, using hand management, player elimination, point-to-point movement, and simultaneous action selection to outmaneuver your fellow climbers. The introduction of fixed rope tokens allows you to set your own routes, adding a new layer of strategy to the game. Each side of the board offers a unique scenario, with the first scenario pitting you against time and weather on the southern wall, divided into three vertical sectors with different weather conditions. The second scenario is a fast-paced race to the top from the southern pass, where you'll have to make tough decisions about which cards to discard and how to manage your time effectively. As you climb to the summit, you'll need to use all your skills and cunning to overcome the challenges that come your way. With K2 Lhotse, you'll experience the thrill of exploration and sports, all while competing against your fellow players. As an expansion, you'll need a copy of K2 to play, but trust us, it's well worth it. Designed by Adam Kałuża and published in 2018, K2 Lhotse is a must-have for fans of the original game and anyone looking for a fun and exciting board game experience. So gather your friends, buckle up, and get ready to conquer the southern peak of Lhotse.
