Get ready for a thrilling trick-taking experience with Kansas City: The Trick-Taking Game, designed by Christopher Wray and published in 2024. This easy-to-learn game is perfect for groups of 4 to 5 players, and a typical play session lasts around 45 minutes. In Kansas City, players aim to win a specific number of tricks, but be careful not to get too carried away - taking too many tricks can be just as bad as taking too few. The game's unique twist is that players can upgrade their cards to the trump suit if they lose tricks, giving them a chance to get back in the game. As you play, you'll need to strike a delicate balance between strengthening your hand and avoiding the risk of taking too many tricks. The game is designed so that at least one player will go over the ideal number of tricks each hand, adding an element of excitement and unpredictability to the game. With its simple rules and engaging gameplay, Kansas City: The Trick-Taking Game is a great choice for fans of card games and trick-taking mechanics. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or just looking for a fun and social game to play with friends, Kansas City is sure to deliver a entertaining and challenging experience.
