Description
Kon-tiki is a classic board game that lets you embark on an exciting adventure across the Pacific Ocean, retracing the epic journey of Thor Heyerdahl's 1947 voyage. Released in 1967, this game is designed for 2 to 4 players and can be played in just 15 minutes, making it perfect for a quick and fun game night. The rules are incredibly simple, so you can dive right in and start exploring the high seas. In Kon-tiki, you'll take on the role of a crew member on a raft, competing with your fellow players to prove your worth by completing duties and navigating through treacherous whirlpools. As you journey from Peru to the Polynesian island of Raroio, you'll use a network of arrows to guide your raft, moving up to 3 arrows on each turn by using counters of the same color as the last whirlpool you passed. But be careful, because when you land on a whirlpool, you'll have to stop and change its direction and color, earning yourself a valuable Navigational Certificate. You can also pick up Duty cards by landing on certain arrows, which will give you more points at the end of the game. With its unique mechanics and fast-paced gameplay, Kon-tiki is a thrilling experience that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The game ends when the raft finally reaches the island of Raroio, and the player with the most points, earned from their Navigational Certificates and Duty cards, is declared the winner. With its simple rules and short playtime, Kon-tiki is a great choice for families, casual gamers, or anyone looking for a fun and lighthearted game to play with friends. So gather your crew and set sail for adventure – will you be the first to reach the island and claim victory?
