Description

In Leelawadee, you take on the role of a gardener, vying to create the most attractive garden to lure in a variety of butterflies. The game is easy to learn, making it accessible to players of all skill levels, and can be enjoyed by 2 to 4 players in just 20 minutes. With forty different flowers to plant, you'll need to strategically choose which ones to add to your garden to attract the most butterflies. The game is designed by Corné van Moorsel and Ron van Dalen, and features a unique area majority influence mechanic that adds a fun layer of complexity to the gameplay. As you plant your flowers, you'll attract butterflies that match the colors of your blooms. Some butterflies are drawn to a single color, while others prefer a combination of two colors. The goal is to create the largest connected flower bed of the right colors to lure in the most valuable butterflies. With ten butterflies to attract, you'll need to think carefully about which flowers to plant and when to make your move. The game is all about creating a beautiful and thriving garden, and the player who accumulates the most points by attracting the right butterflies will be crowned the best gardener. First published in 2013, Leelawadee is a charming and engaging game that's perfect for anyone who loves animals and strategic gameplay.
