Description

Mare Nostrum: Empires – Heroes of the Bible is an exciting expansion to the base game Mare Nostrum: Empires, designed by Serge Laget and released in 2016. This expansion is all about adding a new layer of depth and strategy to the game, with five new heroes inspired by the Bible, each with unique powers that can turn the tide of battle, trade, or cultural influence. You'll take on the role of a leader, guiding your civilization through the ancient world, and with these new heroes, you'll have even more tools at your disposal to outmaneuver your opponents. The game is designed for 3 to 5 players and typically takes around 90 to 120 minutes to play, so be prepared to settle in for a fun and challenging session with friends. While the rules can be a bit complicated, the payoff is well worth the learning curve, as you'll be able to explore the ancient world in a whole new way, using a combination of area majority, influence, dice rolling, set collection, trading, and variable player powers to achieve victory. With the addition of these new heroes, you'll need to think strategically about how to use their powers to gain an advantage over your opponents, whether it's Daniel's ability to dictate trade, David's boost to land battle rolls, or Jesus's ability to limit the resources of your opponents. As you play Mare Nostrum: Empires – Heroes of the Bible, you'll find yourself immersed in a world of ancient civilizations, mythology, and epic battles, with opportunities to build, trade, and conquer your way to victory. The game's complexity and depth make it a great choice for experienced gamers looking for a new challenge, while the social interaction and strategic gameplay ensure that everyone has a blast, whether you're a fan of wargames, economic games, or just love exploring new worlds. With its rich theme and engaging gameplay, Mare Nostrum: Empires – Heroes of the Bible is an excellent addition to any game collection, and a great way to breathe new life into the base game.
