Mothership

Friends and Communities with Mothership

Description

Mothership: Into the Vortex is an expansion that throws you and up to seven friends into a thrilling science fiction experience, building on the foundations of the Mothership: Tabletop Combat base game. With playtime ranging from 45 to 180 minutes, you'll have ample opportunity to explore the vastness of space, navigate through treacherous terrain, and battle it out for supremacy. The game's simplicity makes it easy to dive into, with straightforward rules that can be explained quickly, allowing you to focus on the action and strategy rather than getting bogged down in complicated mechanics. As you navigate the unknown, you'll encounter new elements that add depth and variety to your gameplay experience. For instance, nebula tiles introduce a new layer of strategy, as ships can move through them without taking damage but are limited to just one space at a time. This forces you to think carefully about your movements and plan ahead. Wormholes, on the other hand, offer a thrilling way to traverse the board, transporting ships instantly to the other side and opening up new possibilities for attack and defense. With the ability to flip them over and reveal black wormholes that have multiple exits, you'll need to stay on your toes and adapt your strategy on the fly. To further specialize your fleet, you'll receive a random Class card at the start of the game, complete with a one-use action ability and technology upgrade that sets you apart from your opponents. With up to eight different classes to choose from, there's something to suit every play style, whether you're a seasoned veteran or a newcomer to the world of Mothership. Designed by Peter Sanderson, this 2017 expansion promises to breathe new life into your Mothership experience, offering countless hours of dice-rolling fun and competition with friends. Whether you're looking to expand your existing game or try something new, Mothership: Into the Vortex is the perfect way to take your science fiction adventures to the next level.
