Description
Onward to Venus is a game of empire-building in the Solar System, inspired by the Doctor Grordbort graphic novels. Players take on the role of Earthling settlers, exploiting the resources of the planets and moons, while navigating the resentment of the native populations. The game is set in a parody of the British Empire in the late 19th century, with a sci-fi twist. In this 90 to 120 minute game, 2 to 5 players compete to build their interplanetary empire, claiming tiles and using them to earn money, build factories, hunt strange beasts, or attack other players. But beware, crisis tiles can lead to Martian invasions, robot rebellions, and space pirates, adding an extra layer of excitement and challenge to the game. With its unique blend of area majority, dice rolling, and hand management mechanics, Onward to Venus offers a fun and engaging experience for fans of science fiction and strategy games.
