Description

Get ready for a thrilling adventure in medieval times with Orléans: The Plague, the latest expansion from renowned game designer Reiner Stockhausen, released in 2023. This expansion is designed for 2 to 5 players and can be played in about 90 minutes, making it a great addition to your board game collection. In this challenging game, the plague has struck the city of Orléans, bringing suffering and despair to its inhabitants. As a player, you'll need to navigate the tough game conditions from the start, thanks to the "rat cards" that introduce new obstacles to overcome. With the worker placement mechanics, you'll need to strategically manage your followers and resources to protect them from the plague's devastating effects. As you play, you'll encounter new events linked to the "corpse tokens" that can occupy valuable space on the marketplace, limiting your actions. But don't worry, you'll have the help of a "plague doctor" figure that can be used universally to aid you in your quest. To get rid of the corpse tokens, you'll need to fulfill indulgence cards through pilgrimage, donations, or other conditions, which will also earn you victory points at the end of the game. With its normal complexity level, this expansion is perfect for board game enthusiasts who are familiar with the original Orléans game or its deluxe edition. So, gather your friends and get ready to face the challenges of the plague in this exciting medieval-themed expansion.
