Description

Perú Cocina is a tasty card game that's all about cooking up famous Peruvian dishes. The goal is to collect the right ingredients in the right order to claim those delicious dish cards. It's not as easy as it sounds, though - each ingredient card has two different ingredients on it, and you can only use one of them at a time. This means you've got to think strategically about which side of the card to use, kind of like playing a game of dominoes. With 2 to 5 players, the game is quick and lively, usually lasting around 20 minutes or less. The game is designed to be simple and fast-paced, with rules that are easy to learn and explain. Javier Zapata Innocenzi, the game designer, has done a great job of creating a fun and engaging experience that's accessible to everyone. On your turn, you can either place a card or cards near a dish to help prepare it, or add one of your cards to a shared pool where anyone can use it. This adds a social element to the game, as you've got to think about what your opponents might need and try to stay one step ahead. When you finally get all the ingredients you need, you can claim the dish card and start racking up points. As a set collection game, Perú Cocina is all about gathering the right cards at the right time. With its unique domino-style ingredient cards and fast-paced gameplay, it's a great choice for anyone looking for a fun and lighthearted card game. First published in 2017, Perú Cocina has been a hit with players of all ages and experience levels. So if you're looking for a game that's easy to learn but still offers plenty of challenge and excitement, Perú Cocina is definitely worth checking out.
