Description
Phantom Leader puts you in command of a US Air Force or US Navy Tactical Fighter squadron in Vietnam between 1964 and 1972. You must balance destroying targets with the delicate political repercussions of your attacks, as striking too hard might put your air offensive on hold, while striking too light could lead to blame for losing the war. Each mission takes roughly 30 minutes to set up, plan, and resolve, and you'll need to select the right pilots and weapons for success. As you fly missions, your pilots gain experience and fatigue, affecting their skills and ability to fly. The game also features a unique political system, where every target has a political value that can impact your future target choices. With a range of campaigns and durations to play, Phantom Leader offers a challenging and immersive experience, especially for those familiar with the Hornet Leader series, as it presents a different set of challenges and limitations, reflecting the realities of the Vietnam War.
