Description
Imperial Struggle is a two-player game that delves into the 18th-century rivalry between France and Britain, spanning almost 100 years of history and four major wars. The game begins in 1697 and ends in 1789, taking players on a journey through the intricacies of colonial wealth, European politics, and the pursuit of glory. It's not just about war, as both nations must build their economic foundations, navigate alliances, and compete across various fields of human endeavor. As players take turns, they must balance their investments, deny opportunities to their opponent, and make the most of historical events. The game's complex rules may take some time to learn, but the payoff is worth it, with a playtime of 120 to 240 minutes. Designed by Jason Matthews and Ananda Gupta, Imperial Struggle is a game of strategy and skill, where the goal is to emerge as the dominant world power by the end of the century.
